STUDENTS LIFE
Co-curricular
activities constitute an important part of educational orientation in our
school.
Fine Arts
Students are given
exposure to a series of fine arts activities which include the following:
Arts
The painting and
sculpture courses awaken the students’ awareness of their own potential as
artists throughout life. They become insightful and discerning observers of the
world.
Music
The core of our
provision beyond the curriculum is a high quality coaching scheme for students
who take private lessons with special tutors.
Dance
The course is
unique and exciting. Students develop strength, flexibility, rhythm and
coordination along with discipline, focus and drive. They have the opportunity
to learn and develop skills in a variety of dances which include
Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Keralanadanam, Folkdance, Contemporary,
Western and Fusion dances.
Craft
These classes are
an opportunity for those who really like to create and develop their artistic
talent. There are art projects where pupils can make or create all sorts of
interesting and exciting objects using different materials. Pupils have the
opportunity to sketch, paint, collage, sculpt, design, model clay, carve wood
and stone and do gardening.
Chess
When it comes to
mind games, chess undoubtedly tops the list. It is a mental training which
enhances mathematical and scientific skills as well as problem-solving skills
of students. It helps children to focus, to increase sharpness of the mind and
to come up with strategic approaches to meet their objectives. It builds their
self-confidence.
It also teaches
the value of hard work and commitment.
